This program consists of thirty-one (31) skill-related units (28 core units, 3 level 2 electives). These units are divided into 10 clusters. All clusters must be successfully completed along with carrying out data entry and retrieval and crafting personal entrepreneurial strategies to successfully complete this program.

Welcome to the beginning of life as an artist extraordinaire. The Cake Baking and Decorating programme demands that you be consistently creative, flexible and adaptable as well as current on existing and emerging trends. You will be required to be a team player with high levels of initiative and resourcefulness. As you go through this programme, I will share my personal experiences and provide you with the opportunity to express your ideas and views on the topics under discussion. 

Granville has a very resourceful library that will provide you with books and other resource documents. These will be of great assistance when carrying out the numerous researches that will be given to you. I know we are going to have a wonderful and exciting year. Are you ready!!??

At the end of this training, trainees will be able to work as supervisors within the food industry with limited supervision.

The Chef De Partie L3 programme is designed to provide trainees with the requisite knowledge, skills and attitudes required to perform tasks which demand greater involvement/complexity and some amount of responsibility and autonomy at the workplace.

This programme will put into perspective all the requirements enabling a Chef De Partie to discharge his/her duties in accordance with regulations and successfully demonstrate the competencies required to articulate into other higher-level commercial food preparation programmes.

The Chef De Partie L3 programme is designed to provide trainees with the requisite knowledge, skills and attitudes required to perform tasks which demand greater involvement/complexity and some amount of responsibility and autonomy in the workplace.

This programme will put into perspective all the requirements enabling a Chef De Partie to discharge his/her duties in accordance with regulations and successfully demonstrate the competencies required to articulate into other higher level commercial food preparation programmes. 

This competency based programme will be delivered in a modular fashion using both online and face to face modalities. This flexible online programme prepares trainees in the core skills for supervisory positions in the Hospitality Industry

Rubric - Promotional Device 

INSTRUCTIONS: Trainees are required to:

 Working in preselected groups of 4 – 5; use an AI or online software of your choice to create a promotional flyer based on your business concept. The flyer should be done on “Letter size paper” and uploaded to the Moodle platform; a notification email should be sent to the main Judge (lois_jordine@heart-nta.org). NB: All members of the group should be present for the grading.

The assessment will cover areas to include the aspects listed below:

§   Creativity

§   Professionalism

§   Alignment with business goals

For each criterion, a score from 1 to 5, will be assigned where:
